What is it like to work at Ashford University?
I love working for Ashford University! It is such a positive atmosphere and there are always exciting events going on.
Tell a story of a significant impact you have made on an Ashford University student's life?
When I was a Financial Services Advisor, I had a student that had a very negative experience with her previous school, specifically with the finance process. She was worried that the same problems/issues would arise with her program at AU. For instance, her previous school did not assist her with the financial aid paperwork or explain how financial aid works. She also did not receive assistance with her questions regarding her account. I assured the student that my goal was to assist her as much as possible and to ensure that she would have a very positive experience here at AU. I spent a significant amount of time with the student, walking her through each financial aid document and answering each question she had. I also later followed up with the student and she thanked me several times for all of my help and dedication. She conveyed how much she appreciated the time I took to assist her and was having a great experience with Ashford.
What do you appreciate most about your co-workers?
I work with a very supportive team. Every member of Learning & Development is dedicated to helping each employee in the company strive to do his or her best and to make a significant impact for each Ashford student. In addition, all of my co-workers have a positive attitude and truly make it a pleasure to come to work everyday. It is an honor to be a part of this wonderful family!
What makes you excited to come to work each day?
It would definitely be the staff and employees that I work with. I have a genuine friendship with so many people and we all can rely on one another. In addition, even the people I don't know are friendly and always have a smile on their face.
How would you describe your experience as an Ashford University employee?
My experience is positive and rewarding. I love being part of a successful company where employees are valued and respected. It is a pleasure to be here!!
