Transfer up to 99 credits at AU

You'll be glad to know that you can now transfer a maximum of 99 approved semester credits (148.5 quarter credits) to put towards your degree at Ashford®. Most educational institutions only accept 60 credits in transfer, but Ashford University accepts 99 approved credits in transfer, allowing you to achieve your educational and career goals faster than you ever thought possible.
Your past college work is of great value, and at Ashford, that work is recognized. You can use previous coursework credits or combine coursework with up to 75 non-traditional credits for a maximum total of 99 approved semester credits that you can transfer to Ashford University.
The transferability of credits is subject to Ashford University transfer credit policies, and requires the submission of official transcripts. The official transcripts will be evaluated to determine the credits that will officially apply toward an Ashford University degree program.

Community College:
Finish your education and earn your degree online from Ashford University thanks to the innovative 3+1 partnership. Put your community college credits to work at Ashford! You can transfer 90 community college credits to Ashford including AAS credits which means all your past hard work will not be wasted. Your AA degree may automatically fulfill general education requirements at Ashford. Your lower division work may be equivalent to Ashford's upper division so you won't have to repeat courses you have already taken.*

* Lower division courses which are transferred for upper division Ashford courses do not count toward the 30 upper division credits required for graduation.

Regionally or Approved Nationally Accredited Coursework:
Transfer your credits from regionally or approved nationally accredited institutions to Ashford University. You can transfer up to 99 approved credits from appropriately accredited institutions. Use these credits to satisfy requirements in your Bachelor's program.

National Testing Programs:
Earn credit for prior knowledge through various national testing programs such as: CLEP, DANTES, Berlitz, etc. You may be eligible for up to 75 credits that Ashford University will accept. Use these credits to satisfy requirements in your Bachelor's program.
Berlitz Language Evaluation:
You'll be glad to know that Ashford University has partnered with Berlitz, the world's premiere provider of language training and cultural consulting services. Now you can earn additional credits toward your degree at Ashford through the Berlitz Language Evaluation. By taking and passing the Berlitz Language Evaluation, you may earn up to 18 Ashford University credits (12 lower-division and 6 upper-division), depending upon your level of language proficiency.

Military:
Your military and training experience is of great value and may also help you get closer to a degree. Transfer up to 75 approved military credits at Ashford University where your efforts and experience in the military are recognized. As a benefit to you, Ashford University will request all college and military transcripts on your behalf. Use these credits to satisfy requirements in your Bachelor's program.
Prior Learning Assessment:
Turn your learning from work and life experience into transferable credits. From formal and informal work training, continuing education programs, workshops, and other sources, earn credit for learning experiences by documenting that learning.
