Bachelor of Arts in Natural Science

The Bachelor of Arts in Natural Science prepares students to become licensed teachers in secondary schools in the state of Iowa. The program provides a broad base in the sciences, with further specialization to allow for endorsements in biology, chemistry, or general science.

General Science Endorsement:

This endorsement can be earned with 8 additional hours in biology, chemistry, or physics after completing the major core requirements. Students in this degree program must also satisfy requirements for admission to the College of Education's Practitioner Preparation Program, acceptance into student teaching, and successfully complete all other requirements for Iowa licensure.
