Outside of class, you can be involved in a wide range of social and recreational activities and organizations. The following organizations are currently active on campus:

Ashford-Clinton Unity (ACU)
This is a dance mentor program that is open to Ashford Students and Clinton Community Students. Click here to learn more.

Recognizes and encourages scholarship among juniors and seniors at the University. Click here to learn more.
Ashford University Pre Law Society
Club members will be provided with essential information relative to law school, including how to utilize law resources and effectively network with legal professionals. Members will also receive assistance in law school admission processes.
Ashford Student Iowa State Education Association (ASISEA)
Future teachers join this organization and are offered support by the state and national Student Educators Association. They can access lesson plans, receive a monthly magazine and receive insurance and legal support for when they are in the classroom. Click here to learn more
AU Life
Students who represent student needs and wants in regard to the Christian faith join this organization. The club encourages students and provides assistance to its members for accomplishing the visions of their lives.
Campus Pals
Mentors for at-risk middle school students who help with homework and spend time with the kids. Click here to learn more
Cheerocracy
Cheerocracy helps to cheer on Ashford University's Saints' athletic teams and to promote school spirit during other events. Click here to learn more
Concert Choir
Concert Choir is an auditioned vocal ensemble open to students from all majors. The group performs a wide variety of works and its performing schedule has included concerts, both on and off campus. Click here to learn more
Environmental Club Association
Ashford University's Environmental Club Association is a group of students dedicated to conservation of the environment. Its members work with other organizations in the Clinton community to provide people with opportunities to improve environmental quality. Click here to learn more
Fine Arts Club
A group dedicated to promoting all aspects of fine arts, including graphic design, visual art, dance, music and theater. Click here to learn more
Hall Council
This organization is the governing body of the University's resident students and exists to improve the sense of community among the students living in the Durham and Regis residence halls. Hall Council officers are elected in the spring semester and representatives from each floor are appointed early in the fall. Click here to learn more

Inspirational Choir
This performance choir focuses on gospel music and is open to all majors. Click here to learn more
Latin American Student Organization (L.A.S.O.)
A group that promotes activism and advocacy, this organization raises awareness about Latin American issues and organizes events that provide information about the cultural richness of Latin America. Click here to learn more.
Mu Omega Sigma Fraternity
This group of young men works with other Ashford students and at-risk students in the community to see them succeed and get an education. Click here to learn more
Mu Sigma Eta
This society is composed of honor students from the fields of biology, chemistry and mathematics. The organization promotes the scientific development of its members. Admission is by faculty invitation. Click here to learn more
Phi Beta Lambda
A national organization for students interested in a business career, its members tour businesses, invite business people to chapter meetings, compete in state, regional and national business contests, and become involved in other business-related activities. Click here to learn more

Purple Things and Angel Wings Chess Club

This club promotes the interest in learning how to play chess, represents student needs and wants in regard to chess and education, and provides fellowship amount students, staff, and faculty members..

Scholars Institute
The Scholars Institute is Ashford University's honors program, through which members have the opportunity to participate in seminar-style, interdisciplinary courses, as well as research projects and internships. Click here to learn more.

Student Ambassadors
The Student Ambassadors are an integral part of the Admissions staff and a vital link between the prospective student and the University.
