Hall Council is the governing body of the University's resident students living in Durham Hall and Regis Hall. Hall Council is an important organization that exists to improve the sense of community among the students living in the Durham and Regis residence halls. The organization promotes a living environment conducive to the improvement of the resident students' academic, social, cultural, spiritual and physical welfare. Hall Council officers are elected in the spring semester and representatives from each floor are appointed early in the fall. Hall Council provides an exciting opportunity for resident students to improve the overall quality of living in the University residence halls. Opportunities on Hall Council include serving as an officer or representative. Hall Council is composed of resident students from each floor in Durham and Regis halls. All floors are required to have representatives on Hall Council who will assume the duties and responsibilities of being an active member, contributing to the needs of the floor, the residence hall and the group as a whole. Hall Council is an integral part of the Residence Life system. Students should consult their resident assistant, community advisor or the Director of Residence Life for further information regarding Hall Council involvement.
